The   University of Nigeria , commonly referred to as UNN, is a federal university located in   Nsukka , Enugu State, Nigeria. Founded by   Nnamdi Azikiwe   in 1955 and formally opened on 7 October 1960, the University of Nigeria has three campuses – Nsukka, Enugu and Ituku-Ozalla – located in   Enugu State . The University of Nigeria was the first full-fledged indigenous and first autonomous university in Nigeria, modelled upon the American educational system.

SPORTS DAILY Kwara United Player Slumps and Dies Kwara United have been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of one of their players Saka Azeez on Friday. According to the club's spokesman Abdulwaheed Bibire, who confirmed the unfortunate incident, the defender slumped and died during a training session at the Kwara State Stadium in Ilorin.

Osun College Of Education Suspends Academic Activities Over NAF Invasion Academic activities at the College of Education in Ipetu Ijesa have been suspended after Academic Staff refused to work over  safety concerns.  There have been reports of Air Force invading the college premises in recent days.  The Chairman of the University of Osun lecturers body, Dr. seye Abiona, said that legal action could be taken against the Nigerian Air Force.  Meanwhile, the Nigerian Air Force says that it had began investigations into the invasion.

UNN HOST NIGERIAN STUDENTS POETRY PRIZE (NSPP) 2017 REVEALS JUDGES FOR 2ND EDITION OF NSPP Poets in Nigeria (PIN) have revealed members of the judging panel for the second edition of the Nigerian Students Poetry Prize which closed to submissions on 15 th  April, 2017. The 8-man judging panel chaired by Professor Akachi Ezeigbo includes award-winning writers. Poets and critics such as Denja Abdullahi, Oladele Babajamu, Ismail Bala, Ceri Naz, Kukogho Iruesiri Samson, Bassey Asuquo and Okeke Job Izuchukwu.
